A Legend Has Passed This Way

Tom Clancy

A simple Insurance Broker with a passion for military technology sat down and wrote one of the most read and loved books of our time, “The Hunt For Red October.”  After that, Clancy wrote over ten books that made the No. 1 Bestseller list and many others which brought his total sold over the 50 million mark.

A truly remarkable man, some of his books are now required reading in military academies and his hero Jack Ryan will always live on in the pages of his books.  According to reports, prior to his death, the author was working on a new novel, Command Authority, slated for a December 2013 release.

He was an inspiration to writers who wondered if they have what it takes…Clancy showed them how by researching and writing about his love for the military and for government intrigue.

We have been lucky to have this legend pass our way and I hope that future generations will learn a lesson from this simple Insurance Broker who had a dream and made it come true!

Yours In Writing,

  • My heart broke as I read the news of his passing. He has inspired me to attempt to write and as well to learn more of politics and our military. Thank you for remembering him here on your blog.
